What does Opportunity Rising do?
Opportunity Rising is an education focused nonprofit, which helps DHA program participants pursue their educational goals. Our foundation provides access to vital resources and transformative experiences, empowering individuals from low-income households to pursue better career opportunities and enhance their quality of life.
Our vision is to invest in education and learning, so people can access the resources they need to pursue better careers and improve their quality of life – no matter what stage of life they’re in.
Our Challenge:
DHA serves nearly 20,000 families across North Texas who face economic challenges. When a family’s income cannot support the next generation’s education required to earn a livable wage, there begins a cycle of poverty.
Our Solution:
We help the families we serve rise to their full potential through continuous learning, job training and education by providing scholarships, financial assistance, mentorship and learning opportunities for those preparing to enter college, technical school, vocational school or want to learn a new skill. Our vision is to invest in education and learning, so people can access the resources they need to pursue better careers and improve their quality of life – no matter what stage of life they’re in.
