If helping people move up in the world through education speaks to your heart, there are many ways to get involved with our foundation.
We have three very clear goals we want to achieve this year and several ways you can work with us to achieve those goals.
If you believe you have something to contribute, we’d love to hear from you!
This year we need to raise $350,000 so that we can double the number of scholarships we provide. These funds will provide 100 students with scholarships, including the new Rising Beyond Scholarship that will provide one promising student with a mega-scholarship of $25,000. If you’d like to help us achieve our financial goals, please make a tax-deductible donation!
Our internship program is an important part of our scholars’ journey into their college and professional careers. Providing our students with an opportunity to work in a professional environment, learn how organizations work, work with diverse groups of people and become a team member of something larger than themselves enables them to walk into the adult chapters of their lives with real-world experience.
If your organization has an internship program and you are interested in providing our scholars an opportunity to participate in your program, we’d love to hear from you. Our goal is to secure 8-10 partnerships with companies in the communities we serve to expand the internship opportunities for these bright students.
Every year about half a million young Germans enter the workforce through the country’s robust and longstanding apprenticeship training program. Apprenticeships are one of the foundations of Germany’s manufacturing and economic strength. We believe providing opportunities for our scholars to participate in apprenticeship programs can give them technical, professional and life skills that empower them to move forward in life as self-sufficient.
If your organization has an apprenticeship program that our scholars could apply for, we would love to work with you. If we can identify 4-5 apprenticeship opportunities for our students who have myriad interests and lifegoals, we would be giving them a gift of knowledge, experience and confidence to move up in the world.
The Opportunity Rising Foundation is funded by our dedicated employees’ personal contributions, grants, and corporate donors. We are proud of the support we’re able to provide these students to help ensure their promising futures.

If you’re part of a university that would like to offer a college tour opportunity, we’d love to hear from you. Our students start the college tour program in middle school, and it truly helps open their eyes to what’s possible for their future.
If what you have to share is time and talent we need your help, too! Please volunteer to be a mentor to our scholars or support the foundation in other ways – it’s the most personal way to support our students and their futures.
Our foundation is extremely grateful for the support and donations we receive from our employees who contribute their own personal time and money to keep this foundation going. We also have several companies who support us with generous donations, and we are thankful for their sustaining contributions:
