DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas is offering paid internship opportunities for the summer of 2026. There are 20 spots available for students who are residents of DHA affordable housing programs including Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher program.
The internships pay $14 per hour with schedules of up to 19 hours per week!
The six-week internship begins Monday, June 1, 2026, and ends Friday, July 10, 2026. The work schedule for interns is as follows:
- Mondays 9:00AM – 2:30PM (5 hours)
- Tue, Wed, Thu 9:00AM – 1:00PM (4 hours per day)
- Fridays 10am – Noon (2 hours)
To be eligible for an internship, applicants must:
- Reside in DHA-supported housing
- Pass DHA’s pre-employment screening
- Have no record of truancy or expulsion from school or college
- Complete the application in its entirety
The internships will take place at DHA’s headquarters in West Dallas at:
3939 North Hampton Road, Dallas, TX 75212
Selected interns will have an opportunity to learn how to work in a professional office setting, project management and time management skills, and business writing.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Greet and field questions from DHA customers, clients and staff both in person and over the phone
- Organize agency files, clear work orders, and enter data
- Write memos, work orders, and other essential written correspondence
- Understand the functions and value of DHA programs, procedures, and client service
