DHA has partnered with the Southwest NAHRO Scholarship Program and the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Housing Redevelopment Officials (TX NAHRO) to provide additional scholarship opportunities.
As a member of both of these organizations, DHA’s partnership provides an opportunity for high school graduating seniors who are DHA clients to earn funds for post high school education.
Southwest NAHRO and Texas NAHRO have provided two scholarship opportunities with two separate scholarship applications. We encourage our clients who are high school graduating seniors to apply for both scholarships so that they may increase their opportunity to receive, propelling them forward in their careers and education.
The applications require the DHA to verify that the student or his/her family receives housing assistance. Applications should NOT be submitted directly to the organizations.
For verification purposes, the deadline to submit both applications is February 1, 2019. The applications must be filled out, completed and submitted to Ms. Chyrel E. Roseborough at DHA:
